Send Sinon and her kids to DTS!

My name is Sinon. I have two children, Monika who is almost 1 and Philip who is 12 years old.

I've suffered a lot in life; I grew up in a slum, worked from childhood to help support my family, and was a maid in Malaysia for 7 years. I met the Lord in Malaysia and knew my life needed to change, so I moved back to Cambodia and joined full time ministry with Children At Risk in Cambodia.

During this time I felt God calling me to do a DTS (Disciplship Training School, which is a 5 month course on knowing God and making Him known). But I always made excuses. I had so many doubts about how I would pay for the school fees, what I would do with my children, how I would support them, and Philip's education... But this year, I finally said "Yes, Lord! If this is Your plan, I will go!".

So I asked the Lord about specifics. God has told me He wants to heal me and I need to take this time to receive healing. He also has told me that He wants to restore my relationship with my son, Philip. With Monika, I have been there from the beginning to feed her and comfort her. With Philip, I missed all that. Before I could only say I loved him, but I couldn't show him. Now, I want a time to show him that I love him. I want him to know how special he is and that God loves him too. I want us to be restored as a family, with a strong foundation in God.

The money raised here will go towards my school fees, living expenses for me and my children during school, and outreach. My school starts in January in Battambang, Cambodia.
