Send Scottish Juniors to the World Squash Championships 2025

Donation protected
Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported Scotland's junior players to go to the World Championships in previous years. We had an amazing response in 2023 for Melbourne and 2024 for Houston. This year's event is being held in Cairo and we're fundraising to send 5 players to compete in the individual and team events

Robyn McAlpine, 18, Edinburgh Sports Club
“This year will be my last world junior champs. To end my junior career playing in a Scotland top at the World Juniors champs would be a very proud moment for me.
I have now competed in 2 world juniors and feel each one brought me many different learning experiences that have helped me begin adapting to the professional game.
Getting to compete against some of the best players in the world allows me to push myself and see where I am at, before fully transitioning into the professional game."

Archie Turnbull, 17, Cardiff Squash Rackets Club
"I am incredibly honoured and excited to have been selected to represent Scotland at the World Junior Squash Championships in Egypt this July.
It’s an incredible opportunity to compete on the world stage alongside some of the best young players in the sport.
This achievement is a reflection of the dedication and support I’ve received from my coaches, team mates, and family. I am proud to wear the Scotland jersey and will give my all to represent my country with passion and determination. I look forward to embracing the challenges ahead and making the most of this incredible experience."

Murdo Mackenzie, 16, Western Health and Racquets Club
"I’ve been lucky enough to represent Scotland at both 5 Nations and European events, but being selected to represent Scotland at the World Junior Championships tops them all. Playing for the Scotland team always brings lifelong memories and never disappoints. I always give everything I have whenever I play for the national team and will do so at the World Junior Championships this July."

Harrison Goss-Pastor, 18, Western Health and Racquets Club
"Representing Scotland at the World Junior Championship in July would be a dream come true. It’s an incredible opportunity for me as a player, and to honour everyone who has supported me along the way. This experience would be invaluable, and I’m excited to be part of such an amazing team. Your support means the world to us and will help us make the most of this opportunity. I’m ready to give everything I’ve got."

Archie Niven, 17, Western Health and Racquets Club
"To have the opportunity to represent Scotland at the World Juniors would be amazing. I have had the honour of representing my country at various age groups, but this would is the pinnacle of my squash journey to date.
The competition is another level, and to have the opportunity to rub shoulders with players who are already in the top 30 in the world, such as Mohamed Zakaria, would be fantastic.
My hope is that I am able to compete to the best of my ability and, above all, learn as much as possible from the experience"

It's only possible to send these talented juniors to this event through the generous support of family, friends and the wider squash community. We truly appreciate every donation, big or small.

Thank you for your support!
