Help Me Channel My Inner Anime Protagonist (To Worlds… in Japan!)

Hi. I’m Samuel — card slinger, meta dreamer, and now officially… a Force of Will World Championship Invitee.

That’s right. After years of grinding competitions, near-misses, and crying over top-decks (don’t judge me), I finally did it. I qualified. And not just for any tournament — this year’s World Championship is in JAPAN.

That’s not just a tournament… it’s been my dream since I was a kid.

Little me used to stare at Mt. Fuji in textbooks and anime and whisper, “One day…”

Now, that day is in the second week of November, and I just need a little help getting there.

Why I Need You (Yes, you):

The win was real. The invite is real.

The budget to go? Tragically fictional.

I’ve spent this season traveling to as many competitions as I could. It all came down to the second-to-last tournament of the season. (It was online.) My last real shot. And somehow… I pulled it off.

Now I just need to not pull a reverse uno on myself by missing the chance of a lifetime because I can’t afford the trip.

What This Covers:

• Flights (sadly, teleportation magic is not tournament-legal)

• Lodging (somewhere that doesn’t charge extra for oxygen)

• Food (because I can’t live off instant noodles for every meal… probably)

• A T-shirt that says “I went to Worlds and all I got was clapped in round 3”

• $250 Over Goal: I’ll wear a custom cape with all the donors names, to the tournament (anime energy: MAX).

• $500 Over Goal: I’ll cosplay as my favorite resonator card for a match. (cosplay ain’t cheap)

• $1100 Over Goal: I’ll vlog the entire journey like it’s a Netflix arc. Opening theme TBD.

TL;DR:

I fought my way through the TCG trenches. I finally qualified.

And this November, the World Championship is being held in the land I’ve dreamed of visiting since childhood — Japan.
