Since 2015, you’ve watched Phoenix Rising Dance Company light up stages at Theatre on the Square, supporting the Indianapolis Arts Council and as a guest of Angie’s List at the Indiana State Fair. Now, with your help, Phoenix Rising has the opportunity to take New York City thanks to the invitation from the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) to their annual Congress in January of 2018.
Your generous donations to PRDC will be used to guarantee dancer's salaries, transportation and lodging, registration fees, insurance and other incidentals incurred while on tour. Phoenix Rising Dance Company is a Federally recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, so every penny of your donation is 100% tax deductible, making this the perfect end-of-year giving opportunity!
Phoenix Rising has been invited by APAP to present two performances of Justin David Sears-Watson's brilliant Jazz piece "Speakeasy," which premiered at IndyFringe
in 2015. Every performance of this piece at APAP will expose PRDC to arts organizations and funders from around the country, giving us the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent the Indianapolis Art Community at theatres and arts venues from coast to coast, as well as abroad!
APAP, the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (formerly Association of Performing Arts Presenters), is the national service, advocacy and membership organization for the performing arts presenting sector and the convener of APAP|NYC, the world's leading gathering of performing arts professionals, every January in New York City. Through professional development programs and member services, APAP provides opportunities for artists, agents and managers, presenters, and producers to make the connections and gain the information, skills, and resources they need to make the arts a vibrant, valuable and sustainable part of everyday life. APAP supports and educates today's and tomorrow's performing arts leaders.
