Send our son to Military School and change a life!

Here's a story of a boy named Noah who grew up a handsome decent kid. Then came puberty and peer pressure. Grades started falling, friends got more questionable then came the first offense taking off for a several mile bike ride to hang out with a girlfriend alone for several hours without any parent knowing. Then came stealing from gas stations, friends, and ourselves. We placed him in Civil Air Patrol a fleeting interest of his with structure and discipline which we volunteered as well to help encourage. Through moderate improvements and a noticeable difference made after a week long encampment with CAP we thought he was a different more respectful boy. But it didn't last long as continued pressure from friends led to Marijuana use and continued lying with grades falling and the offenses and disrespect getting worse we placed him in a well known Private School where Pot use turned into Vaping (hardly better but better). Assignments were missing. He would arrive to class late, not eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner but opt for vending machine food and stay up late cheating the no electronic policies and sneaking out. But the final event happened as police got involved recently when himself with a couple friends snuck out a few times joyriding on school golf carts, stealing paint from the art department, Sneaking into a water treatment facility busting a window there nearly covering the entire shed with multiple colors of spray paint including vulgarity, satanic symbols, sexual images, and many misspellings making me understand his poor English grades. But it doesn't stop there. They continued onto a construction site where a large piece of equipment was parked (Track Hoe) busting out all windows, spray painting even more and causing over 5k worth of damage there alone. As the school and community works with us on punishment its the peers he keeps around him that bother us most, as that's been the prime motivation for him to continue criminal behavior. Noah is a people pleaser and will go out of his way to help and gain the acceptance of other's in his peer group.

We are pushing for a change to Military school specifically because we have found one which  focuses on a team mentality. The idea is the common goal of the smaller groups <10 kids per pod are given equal praise and punishment for issues of behavior and academics. This brings the students together for the common good as opposed to goofing off and creating felonies. The teams work more closely together during studying and physical sports creating a friendship sure to last. With a solid set of rules and instructions we believe Noah will excel. Noah has been diagnosed with ADHD with O.D.D.  by counselors. And with multiple counselors suggestion this structure will be the best place for him.

If you were to ask any long term friend of relative of Noah they will tell you he is smart, respectful and only recently found the wrong path. Lets put him back on the right path before its too late.

Thank you for your time and donation, any little bit helps. He is currently in 9th grade and still has a few years to go. These last years before he turns 18 (currently 15 years old) are our last chance to influence the rest of his life before he decides to be on his own outside of our reach.
