Help send our Gymnasts to their first National Competitions

Help us send our gymnasts to their first National Competitions.

We are Muswell Hill Rhythmic Gymnastics , a small not-for-profit Rhythmic Gymnastics club based in Muswell Hill Centre , a community centre in North London.

For the first time, two of our gymnasts will be heading to national competitions this year. They have worked really hard to get to the right level to do this. Competing at this level is also costly - they have done 4 competitions in the 4 months to prepare for qualification, and purchased new apparatus and leotards, as well as paying for all of their training hours.

As we are a small club and as we are sending only two girls, the costs for us are very high. To add further expense, the national competition structure separates the English Championships in two: one competition for under 12s and one for under 13 and older, meaning we have to send one girl to two separate English national competitions for the weekend.

Without some additional funding we would have to transfer the majority of these costs onto the girls and their parents.

We have to send at least one coach and one judge away with the girls over 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) in:
  • Peterborough - English Championships for all girls under 12.
  • Wolverhampton - English Championships for all girls 12 and older.
  • Northumbria - National Development Plan Finals (British Championships for girls at level 4)

We are looking to raise at least £600 to support the club with the costs of attending each competition (around £200 per competition would cover part of the costs). Any support that you are able to provide will go towards covering:
  • Travel expenses
  • Hotel costs (Wolverhampton and Northumbria)
  • Paying coaches for 2 or 3 days of work at each competition

We want to build on our recent successes and continue to create opportunities for children in our community to train and compete in rhythmic gymnastics at a high level. This first time attending national finals is an important step for us and we hope to continue to attend every year with more and more children from our local area.

You can find out more about each competition on the British Gymnastics website:
