Send Nicole to Debate Camp!

I am Nicole Doris, a novice debater at Little Rock Central High School. My debate partner, Joelle Fahoum, and I have met with success this year multiple times including 1st place at the Mills Halloween Classic, 1st place at Fayetteville's March Madness, and 2nd place at Isidore Newman Invitational. I have also won multiple speaker awards including 1st place at Fayetteville's March Madness, 1st place at the Cabot Classic, 2nd place at the Longhorn Classic, and 2nd place at JW Patterson Invitational. 

One of the greatest things I have found out, as a novice debater, is the knowledge that is gained about the world surrounding us. Every argument that I have encountered has brought new light to problems. Each debater can bring a new perspective about the many problems that occur, often on our front door step, and we learn how to solve them collectively.  Each debate is unique as even the most basic arguments can be interpreted in a slew of different ways. As a debater, I want to use every round as a way to expand my knowledge of the world. Debate has greatly impacted the way that I view my power as an individual to create changes around me. 
During the summer, I plan on attending the Michigan Debate Camp for five weeks. The five weeks will be used to continue my debate education and work with debate coached and mentors from around the world. I plan on preparing for the upcoming debate year as a varsity debater, and Michigan Debate Camp will greatly improve my debate skills.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated! The money will go towards travel, food, and board for camp.
