Send Me to the Abbey

Hi everyone!!

I am SO excited!!! I received good news recently that I have been ACCEPTED to my DREAM, ACCREDITED ministry program: Worldview at The Abbey("The Abbey")!!! (Want to know what that is?? Check it out ! It is AWESOME!!!) I cannot CONTAIN my excitement! I am twenty years old with a general Associate's in Liberal Arts and a heart on fire for serving The LORD. I am relentlessly seeking His heart, and He is relentlessly taking care of me, wholly and perfectly. 

Back Story, My Efforts and My Heart:

Throughout this year, I have been working and serving full-time at McDonald's, which will be my means of saving up and living for this season in my life. I am applying for a second job because to save up after bills, I will need more hours. I am pursuing as many opportunities for work as possible because it is SO important to me to try and earn enough money to be debt-free through my time at the Abbey. 
While a majority of my friend my age were going off to some adventure or school, I got to stay home and love on the people at work, at churches across town, at the local Wal-Mart when I go grocery shopping... every spare second I have, I want to be doing something with people for Jesus. And then, the Abbey came into the picture last August, and I KNEW that the Abbey is where God is calling me. I realized two things this year: I want nothing but to love God and love people with my obedience to where God is calling me, BUT I can't do this alone.

Why the Abbey?

I have the heart of an evangelist. My deepest desire is for every person I make eye contact with to know truth and to know they are loved and one-of-a-kind beauties with limitless potential in Christ. The Abbey shares my heart in virtually every way.  It will provide me with 30 semester credits toward my degree, a place to spread my wings and hit the streets in a new (but not too far) zone, AND, the best part, I basically get to be on a year-long mission's trip! We get to reach out to Colorado's people every day in various ways. I will have the opportunity to look in the eyes of that many more people and show them their value through how my team mates and I live our lives. Ministry, evangelism, apologetics, training, mentoring, college credit, adventures in Colorado...This place makes my heart sing! 

I have decided: I AM GOING to the Abbey. I will not let a financial burden scare me away from a place I know God has called me to. This school is literally my heartbeat. I consider it a deep blessing, and I will pursue this gift from God. Will you partner with me?

How Can You Partner With Me:

ESTIMATED FINANCIAL NEED FOR WHOLE YEAR: 
--$18,500 for a full year of room and board, meals, Tuition, in-class teaching, outreach, and team building adventures included in the program. 
--$500 in books and breakfast (the only things not included in the program besides traveling expenses)

TOTAL GOAL: $19,000

First Goal (due August 15th, 2018): $9,000
Second Goal (due November 1st, 2018): $5,000
Third Goal (due Febuary 1st, 2018): $5,000
 
*Any donations exceeding the costs of tuition will be placed into a savings account and applied toward traveling expenses and miscellaneous needs throughout the year.*

What Other Means are You Partnering with?

YES it is accredited, so YES scholarships can be applied and YES it is also a ministry program! (I am still floored) I am pursuing anything and everything I can to help out financially. I will update this site any time a discount is applied.

--My own financial income. I will be contributing from every paycheck and will update the page when I do. Anything extra I make outside of bills and daily expenses is going into savings for the Abbey.

--The hand of God. God's hand is open, and I know as surely as He receives the glory I give Him with open hands, with that same open hand, He will provide through scholarships, financial bonuses I acquire personally, and YES through YOU! When you invest in me, you invest in the kingdom of God because that is what my life and this program is all about.

My Commitment and Final Details:

As I mentioned above, I will be setting aside CONSISTENTLY out of my own pocket. If you don't see an update by Saturday each week, ask me how I'm doing (I may forget to update the site). I am committing to giving up daily pleasures of fast food or drinks as much as possible, among others, so that I can take even that small amount and put it into savings. I believe it will add up, and God will bless it.

I am so grateful for your support. I cannot express enough how much financial support means to me in this journey. I cannot do this alone. I know I cannot. If I were to work off debt for a few years, I could pay off the amount... all things are possible, of course...but I am convinced that itwill not have the same power as when we come together for the glory of the Kingdom. Have you ever wanted to go reach the world for Jesus but can't actually go somewhere in this season? Are you looking to invest in something bigger than you can see? As you contribute to sending me, you ARE doing missions. You are doing the sacrificial, behind-the-scenes work of prayer and financial support that I respect and understand I cannot serve on the missions field without. With your support, yes it will be I who goes to the Abbey, but YOU will have invested in me and sent me into the missions field of Colorado for a WHOLE YEAR! Imagine that! Do you think your amount is too small? Please, donate anyway. Any amount is a blessing. No amount is too small, and no obstacle is too big for God to use for His glory!
