Hi friends and family,
I’m excited to share something that’s been stirring deeply in my heart. Recently, I made a life-changing decision to follow Jesus and was baptized—an outward sign of the inward transformation God is doing in me. And now, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to put my faith into action by joining a mission trip to Costa Rica this summer with my church, RADIUS.
In June I’ll be traveling with a team to serve Thrive Ministries, an organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and restores children who have been impacted by trafficking. Thrive is doing amazing work, not only providing a safe home and education but also introducing these children to the love and hope found in God’s family.
Here’s what we’ll be doing:
• Spending time with children at the Thrive home and school—playing games, helping with homework, and just showing them they are seen and loved.
• Supporting teenage moms through encouragement, practical help, and mentoring.
• Helping with construction and maintenance projects at the children’s homes and school.
• Serving the Thrive staff—preparing meals and giving them time to rest.
• Visiting communities in San Jose to raise awareness about trafficking prevention and the risks vulnerable children face.
This trip is coming up—it’s a step of obedience, a way to live generously, and a chance to love others the way Jesus loves us. I believe God is calling me to go, to be present, to serve, and to grow.
Here’s where I need your help:
The total cost for the trip is around $2,000, which covers flights, lodging, meals, and ministry expenses. I’m trusting God to provide, and I’d be so grateful if you would consider supporting me—whether financially or through prayer—as I prepare to go.
Every dollar brings me closer to being able to serve these children and be a part of the healing work God is doing in Costa Rica. Any extra money will go Thrive ministries to further support their organization.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of this journey with me.
With love and gratitude,
Lillyanne Clarke
