Last year marked 400 years since enslaved people arrived in America, and the country honored the resilience of black people with a "Year of Return"
My name is Fatimah Muhammad. I’m 24 years old & I would like to move back to the motherland with my family, my mother, my daughter & little brother! Despite my education and experience, we are always made to feel like second-class citizens. Moving will be an opportunity to fulfill my potential and avoid being targeted by racial violence. My family needs to feel safe and at peace! In America, you’re always trying to prove yourself; I don’t need to prove myself to anyone else’s standards here. I’m a champion, I played soccer and went to university, and I like to win, so I refuse to be in a situation where I will never win.
