~ Send Logan on Medical Mission to Guatemala! ~

It is my joy to announce that I have the honor of serving on my very first ever Medical Mission this summer in June 2020!
As many of you may know, my desire has been to be a part of medical outreach since high school when I felt the Lord's call to be a physician to serve Jesus and practically show His love to others. For the first time in my life, I am able to put into practice medical skills I am learning at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) alongside faculty and clinicians to serve and love people in the Zacapa area of Guatemala! LUCOM is continuing a powerful ongoing partnership with Hope of Life International to bring hope and healing to rural underserved communities. During the week we are there, we will be partnering with local medical students to provide holistic medical care to those without regular access to health services - as well as a gospel message of hope. Having already spent one full summer in Guatemala three years ago, (where the picture above is from) I am especially excited to return to a culture I grew to love and to use my Spanish again to connect with people living there.
The total cost of the mission trip is $2,000, which covers the individual's cost of the mission, while other sources are providing the medical supplies and medications we will administer. The dozens of LUCOM students on this team are either responsible for raising this amount or providing it themselves. I have chosen to self-fund $500 of the total, and I am praying in hopeful confidence that the Lord will help to provide the other $1500! My goal is to have this amount raised before May 1, 2020. (If the Lord allows, perhaps it will all be raised by the end of January!) with the help of friends, family, and the people in the body of Christ who believe in partnering with this calling on my life. No amount is too small.
