Greetings global family! I am here to tell you of a pilgrimage, Awakened World Global Pilgrimage , to seven chakras of the planet. This healing adventure begins in Africa, the root of the chakras, the root of civilization. When I first heard about it, I immediately sensed a voice inside saying, ‘you know you have to do this.’ It’s as if the seed was planted long ago, and now the invitation has arrived. It will be a month long traveling meditation to build a relationship with the earth and its cultures and spiritual systems, with the intention for unity.

As an artist and poet, I value my spiritual journey as it underlies my creative work. It is a passion that keeps me curious and adventurous. To create is to enter the unknown, where possibility lives.This past April, I received some news about my health that struck me profoundly, and allowed me to see life anew. On the fourth of May 2017, I had surgery for cancer. The prognosis, thus far is optimistic. I am in good health. Going through this experience has increased my conviction to live dynamically. It reawakened the daring in me, the spark to meet challenges and accept invitations that invigorate my purpose. In a way, this brush with mortality has given me the courage to say yes to this pilgrimage for the healing of the planet and for my own healing. May 2018 marks a year since the surgery. A circle around the sun will be completed, and embarking on this pilgrimage to circle the earth will begin. The synchronicity of this feels like a big, YES.

Travel has always expanded my perspective. Life is a mystery, and I am following this mystery intuitively. To have this opportunity to be on a conscious meditation journey around the globe will surely expand my capacity to contribute to life in a positive, uplifting way.
