Send Lilli to conduct in Prague!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to check out my fundraiser page! My name is Lilli Vellom and I am pursuing a career as a conductor. I am currently the assistant conductor of the Lewis & Clark College Orchestra and have also directed multiple small ensembles on campus.


I have been invited to conduct in a masterclass with Maestro Martin Sieghart in the Czech Republic in mid-September. This will be my first time conducting a professional orchestra! I will be focusing mainly on Brahms Symphony no. 1 but will also be working on Bruckner 4, Mozart 36 (“Linz”), and Mendelssohn Hebrides Overture. I am so excited to work on these HUGE pieces and learn from the fantastic faculty and orchestra! This program will be an amazing step for me to build my skills and gain experience and confidence on the podium.


Of course, traveling to Europe and participating in a program like this is not cheap, and that’s where I am asking for the help of my friends and family. I set my goal for this fundraiser at $3500 to help cover program tuition, travel expenses (flights, housing costs, and food), and scores. I realize that raising this much money in only a few short weeks is probably next to impossible, but any help covering even a portion of this cost would be enormously helpful. I am currently working both a full-time job and a part-time job (in addition to church gigs and babysitting) but money is still pretty tight. Any donations, no matter how small, would mean the world to me!
