Send Karoline and Kate to Cambodia

Karoline and Kate will be going to Cambodia for half of their summer break, early May through early June. They will be working in a small arts school called Cambodian Christian Arts Ministry (ccamvision.org) in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. CCAM was established in the early 90’s, working to train Cambodian youth in the five art forms (music, visual art, dance, acting, and creative writing), giving priority to the disadvantaged. CCAM rescues at-risk children and helps provide them with an education as well as give them artistic direction and skills to use in the ministry world. In addition to volunteering in these core areas, Karoline and Kate will also interact with the community by providing English classes. One of the co-founders of CCAM has planned an amazing program that utilizes the very specific talents the three of us students each have, allowing us to connect with the students through the arts.
Karoline says "I am able to see that God has been preparing me for opportunities like this one, to serve and glorify Him using the gifts He has placed in my heart. It is so eye-opening to see God's power working in my life for His glory. At times, I couldn't even see His plans for me, but I have come to understand the confluence of His hand in my life. He has molded me to shine His light and now has presented me with the chance to do so. I am elated to spend one month in Phnom Penh, loving and serving Christ through my passions."
Kate says "This opportunity, school, and project in particular are very close to my heart as I have much experience expressing myself in the arts and much passion for overseas outreach, making this trip an amazing opportunity to combine those two areas of my life."
