<div>Hi everyone, I'm Justin Burnett and in early December 2024, I got the best news! I was selected for the U.S. U-24 Open National Team to compete in the World Flying Disc Federation World U-24 Ultimate Championships in Logrono, Spain, June 21-28, 2025. I was chosen out of over 600 applicants and 200 people who tried out, to be one of the 72 players that make up the three teams in the delegation.

<div>Competing in a World Championship for my national delegation has been a goal I have been working towards for a long time. I started playing Ultimate in 7th grade, which means 2025 will be the beginning of my second decade playing this sport.

<div>I was so close to achieving this dream in 2020, when I was selected to be on the U-20 Open national team that would have competed in Malmo, Sweden. However, that opportunity was crushed by the COVID-19 pandemic as the World Championships were canceled. That year, our team never had the chance to play together, and I still haven't met some of the players who should have been my teammates. That setback only made me more determined to represent my ultimate communities on the world stage and makes my current opportunity all the sweeter.

<div>Being a part of the national delegation is an honor, but it comes with some prohibitive expenses, especially as I work to put myself through my Master's degree program debt-free. Unfortunately, USAU only covers jerseys and team fees, which means I have to pay for travel, lodging, and food during the week of the World Championship, as well as for our two training camps beforehand, March 7-9 in Charlotte, and Jun 15-20 in Spain. This is in addition to paying player, medical, and coaching fees in the form of dues to USAU. That's why I'm asking for your support in making this goal a reality. Here's the latest breakdown they have provided us.

<div>I have set the goal for this fundraiser as $4,500 which is the lowest end of the cost estimates, but truly every little bit helps. Even reaching half or two-thirds of this goal would help make this opportunity attainable.
