Let's help send Jenn Casey, aka "QOBA", to Seoul, South Korea, in November to represent Team USA in Kettlebell Sport!
So proud of my my friend, teammate, business partner, Jenn Casey! Jenn set a goal at the beginning of the year to compete in Kettlebell Sport at an international level.
How did she do it? She stayed dedicated to the training, despite many challenges, put the work in, kept focused, and successfully qualified.
Here's Jenn's story in her own words ...
"...I cannot even believe this is my life. Just about seven years ago (next month), I walked into CrossFit Kennesaw for the very first time, never having touched a barbell or a kettlebell at all. Two years later, I certified as a L1 CF Trainer and CF Kids trainer. One year after that, I competed in my first Kettlebell Sport competition.
Never did I imagine I would fall in love with fitness and movement and barbells and kettlebells. I was looking to improve my health and fitness, not realizing that I had begun a journey toward something much bigger.
Today, I am a L2 CF Trainer and a Level 2 IKFF Certified Kettlebell Trainer (and I have more than these, too). I run a CrossFit Kids program and a burgeoning Kettlebell Sport program at CFK, as well as coach regular classes. I am the co-founder of Georgia Kettlebell Sport which has the explicit mission of developing Kettlebell Sport in our state. And I have bigger dreams than those things, new projects in the works.
This is a great sport, fun and challenging. The shortest endurance sport I can think of. The best new sport that nobody has heard of. YET. :D And I am so happy to get to experience competition at an international level, and I will keep working hard to make Kettlebell Sport things happen here in Georgia..."
