Hello everyone, my name is Helena Jankowski. I am a junior at Michigan State University studying Special Education, with a focus in Language Arts Instruction and Teaching English as a Second Language.
This summer I will be traveling with a small group of future educators. We will travel to several urban and rural areas within South Africa. I get to visit local schools and work with teachers and students in a variety of settings, visit important historical, cultural, and natural sights, and participate in service opportunities that will directly benefit the children and communities I will be visiting.
This is is an amazing, life-changing opportunity. Unfortunately, it is also an expensive one... I am counting on the love and support of my friends, family, and other individuals to help make this a reality. Every little bit will help!
