Hank is a very special dog. He is a 140 lb Great Dane cuddle bug. My dad rescued him in a very dark time in my life, a few short weeks after my brother Klayton and my dog of 11 years both passed away. Klayton was my triplet brother, and my best friend. I went home to meet him and the moment I walked through the door to meet Hank, it was over. Hank was made for me and I fell in love at first sight.
I took him off of my dads hands in June after I moved out of the dorms at Wright Patt AFB to live on my own. Randy and I are both Active Duty Air Force and he is stationed in Germany. Having Hank here makes me feel so happy and not alone. Whenever I am sad it seems like he knows exactly how to fix it. I believe Hank is a gift that Klayton told God I needed, to help me get through this life without him. This big goofy dog is truly a blessing.
Randy and I got married in September, which led me to get orders to Ramstein Germany.

As you can imagine sending a big dog internationally is a pretty big deal. The flight alone is costing us a little over 2 grand because essentially it is like sending overweight baggage. Hank is also needing a custom sized "airline approved" kennel. When it is all said and done, Hank's 8-9 hour plane ride to Germany will cost a little over $3,000 which is more than we expected.
We are so grateful for any amount that can help us get our baby overseas. Thank you!
