Cheyenne Wants to go Home
My name is Cheyenne. My owner, Reggie, is an elderly disabled man who lived in Reno for many years. He is a New Zealander and had to return to New Zealand for medical care. Due to his urgently needed medical treatment, he had to leave me behind. I am his family and he is lost without me.
Reggie's Story
Reggie lost his arm in an industrial accident and was living in the US on a small fixed income. He would have returned to New Zealand a couple years before if it had not been for his beloved "Cheyenne". Reggie always put his pup first; sharing his dinner with Cheyenne , lining up her toys in front of the fire on cold nights. Reggie had a specific time set aside for playtime. Reggie is devastated without Cheyenne.
New Zealand has strict requirements for animals entering their country, so sending Cheyenne to New Zealand will be quite costly. It will take 4 to 6 months to fulfill New Zealand's requirements. Reggie is going to provide what he can, and we, his friends will provide what we can. But it will not be enough, so we are asking for help from animal lovers everywhere.
Why We Need Money
The money we raise will be used to help cover some of these cost:
_ Air Transport from US to Auckland $4700 USD
_ New Zealand has a 10 quarantine which costs $1200 USD
_Veterinarian Cost here in US prior to Departure $800-$1000 USD
-Permit Application $ 160 USD
_USDA approved Kennel $250 USD

I'm staying with some very nice people here in Reno. But it is not my home. My home is with Reggie in New Zealand. Please help me get back with my owner. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.
