Calvin Smit has had a great year competing in karate here in Canada... and now he has his sights set on Ireland!
Calvin has qualified to be a part of Team Canada at the WMO World Karate Championships in Dublin, Ireland this coming October. He has already been to the Team Canada training in Milton, and will be travelling to many more practices to train with teammates who are working hard to polish their techniques in preparation for this large international tournament.
Each Team member is responsible for raising his or her own funds for the flight and hotel - so Calvin is working hard to make some money to cover his costs.
Calvin has a passion for karate, and will be a great representative for Canada as he competes in Ireland.
Let's help him reach his goal to help cover his travel expenses as he voyages to the Emerald Isle - we're sure he'll do us proud on the international stage!
