Send Brook to Nationals!

Hello, I’m Brook Rapp! I have had the opportunity and privilege in researching and creating with my team of two other girls a performance piece for the National History Day Competition about the Seneca Falls Convention, the first step towards women’s suffrage.

Our team progressed through the stages of the competition and on Friday, April 19th we took 1st Place for our performance at the Jr. level for Utah State!

We have the great opportunity to represent our school, West Lake STEM JR High and the State of Utah in competing at Nationals! This even will be held the beginning of June in Washington DC (University of Maryland, to be exact)! It will last for 5 days! We will have the opportunity to compete on a National level and we are excited for this next challenge. We will also get to visit some historical sites!

While we all took pride and put forth 110% we did not anticipate going this far. We were not prepared for the financial obligation that it came with for the flight, room and other costs that my family would be responsible for in sending me.
