Send Blind Photographer to Exhibit

Hashim Kirkland is one of our top photographers. He had brain cancer as a child and has Retinitis Pigmentosa, A progressive eye disease that after destroying your night vision progressively destroys your retinas from peripheral to central vision eventually resulting in total blindness. Blindness has left Hashim,like most of our members impoverished and with severely limited access to things we take for granted.

I want to bring Seeing With Photography member Hashim Kirkland with us for the opening of our photographic exhibition in Milan Italy. We will use the money raised to pay for Hashim's  travel, room and board to Milan.

We tell our members how wonderful the reaction is to their work but it is a whole different thing to experience this for themselves, to understand themselves as an accomplished contributing member of society.

Thanks so much the response has been so wonderful we can help another of our photographers come on the trip to Milan.  Mildred Green is a long time member, and a very sweet woman. we just need a small amount more to bring Mildred on our trip.  we have increased what we are asking for for the purpose of bringing Mildred along.
