Send Ashley to Japan
Donation protected
This is me and my daughter Ashley. Her dad and I divorced when she was 2 years old. She is 13 now and just started high school. She doesn't remember her parents being together and being the youngest daughter, she has watched her 2 older sisters with the challenges of teenage life.
She studied Japanese for 8 years of Primary school and now at High School, there is a school trip to Japan in January 2019.
The cost of this trip is $4500. This money includes airfares, spending money, activities and food for 2 weeks. I also have to get her a passport. A lot of her friends are going and I desperately want to send her.
I am a relief teacher and my income is casual and I don't have any income over the 12 weeks of school holidays over the year.
Whilst family members have been able to donate $20-$50 so far, I have saved up $420 so far. I have to save up the entire amount by November 2018. She is such a great young person. She does extra chores to go towards the cost, but in the end, it will be up to me to cover the cost. She has forgone all birthday and Christmas money to go towards this trip.
She has received very good grades so far and has 99% attendance at school. She is trying extremely hard to save but knows that it may not happen if I cant come up with the money before November.
Even a small donation would make all the difference.
