Send Alana to UMass Medical Conf.
Our daughter, Alana, has been nominated to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston. This nomination is a great honor as it requires a minimum 3.5 GPA. Alana has worked very hard to maintain a near 4.0 GPA and would be representing Emerald High School and South Carolina. At this conference she would get to meet medical leaders, medical school deans, award winning scientists, and possibly earn college credit. She would also get to view real time surgeries while getting to ask the surgeon questions and learn about cutting edge medical advances.
Unfortunately, we cannot afford to send her without your help. As I am on disability, our budget just doesn't allow. Especially given the expenses of a senior year as well. The tuition is $1735.00 which doesn't include airfare or meals. We have applied for and expect to receive a scholarship bringing the tuition down to $1135.00. We're estimating a travel and food budget that will bring the total to around $1600.00. She would attend in June of 2018, but the first deposit is due on November 7th. Please donate if you are able.
