Send Abby and Olivia to Zambia

Dear Family and Friends, 


We are extremely excited to share some amazing news with you. God has deeply laid it on our hearts to go and minister to the people of Africa this summer, specifically to the people of Ndola, Zambia! Our trip is scheduled for July 3-18.

Zambia is a landlocked country in south central Africa, about the size of Texas. Of the 15 million people living in Zambia, 87% of them live on less that $2 a day. Half the population is unemployed, and there is a severe lack of quality education in the country. Northrise University, however, is a private Christian university committed to “Empowering the People of Zambia, One Student at a Time.” When a student graduates from Northrise, they are equipped to get a good paying job, start their own business, or move into a ministry role, thus providing for the needs of the community. 

My church has partnered with Northrise for years and now the two of us are being called to participate in Impact Ndola 2019 along with our dad. I (Abigail) know that many of you supported my previous trip and I am extremely blessed to watch God call Olivia to this new and exciting opportunity also. We cannot wait to see what God will do through us! We are but His hands and feet!

While there, we will serve alongside the university students to bless the city of Ndola, the second largest city in Zambia. We will be working in the Children’s ministry in one of the most impoverished and remote areas of the region. Both of us are sincerely looking forward to sharing the love of Jesus Christ by taking part in a Vacation Bible School program in Mapalo, a school for orphans. 

We are writing today to ask you to partner with us and Northrise University to impact the lives of an entire town through Impact Ndola. The cost for each of us to participate in this experience of a lifetime is $4,500 — and each of us must raise that amount individually before we leave! (Obviously we are a little late in sending this letter, sorry!) But because we both genuinely believe that God has led us to go and serve in this way, we are confident he will also provide the means to do so. We thank you in advance for any support you may be able to contribute.

2. Make an online donation by going to https://northrise.org . Click IMPACT NDOLA, then MAKE A DONATION/PAYMENT. Once the form is complete, being sure to note ‘Abigail and/or Olivia Griswold’ in the “payment for” box, click SUBMIT DONATION. 



3. Go Fund Me (this website).



4. Those who attend church with us can simply make a check payable to “East Parkway Church” and drop it in the weekly offering on any given Sunday, again making sure to note our name(s) in the memo. (Of course you may also give to our team as a whole, noting “Impact Ndola 19” instead, in which case the funds will be dispersed among team members as there is need.)
