Send Aaron to Germany!

My son, Aaron, is a junior at River Bluff High School in Lexington, SC.  He is in his 3rd year of studying German. His teacher, Frau Buckliew, has selected him to participate in the prestigious German American Partnership Program (GAPP) during the summer of 2018. I am beyond proud of the hard work and dedication that earned him this amazing opportunity!  Research has shown that traveling has a positive educational impact on children. Additionally, I want him to be exposed to the world and expand his horizons. He needs to see the world, know that there is so much out there to explore.   I don’t want him to feel that he’s just limited to a little town in South Carolina.  I want my son to know that he can go anywhere in the world, in life!

Aaron is an amazing kid.  He is respectful and responsible, in addition to being hilarious. He’s generous, always looking out for his 4 younger siblings.  He’s the type of kid who takes his little brother with him to his friends’ houses.  Aaron consistently makes good grades and his teachers love him.  I honestly couldn’t ask for a better son.   I mean, he actually makes being the parent of a teenager fun!

Here’s the situation:  I am a single divorced mother of 5 amazing kiddos and a 4th grade teacher at a Title One elementary school.  I’ve been setting aside a little at a time to make his goal a reality.  But this time, my best isn’t quite enough.  We have to pay for the trip in full before spring break so the campaign will run until  the end of March 2018.

Please consider making a donation to help send Aaron to Germany!  He deserves this opportunity and you can be a part of getting him there!  No donation is too small (or too large!) and everything is appreciated. All money raised will go towards the cost of the trip and any excess will be donated to GAPP to help other students in need have access to this same opportunity.
