Help Ryan go to the Pan Pac Games in NZ

Ryan has the opportunity of a lifetime to travel overseas to compete in a Water Polo competition. This is something we never thought possible for him as he has had many obstacles to overcome in his short 13 years. The least of which is an Autism diagnosis. He has always struggled with sport due to his physical limitations of fine and gross motor skill deficits. When he is in water though his body works for him instead of against him as on land. 18 months ago he discovered the sport of Water Polo and he has never looked back. The passion and determination to succeed in this sport is what drives him to train two mornings before school and compete in game nights every Friday.

At the end of last year he was selected for the U14's boys team to fly to New Zealand from Australia and compete in a 5 day competition against teams from around the world including America and England. This is something we never could have seen happening for our boy as he struggled with life so much as a child, not only with his Autism diagnosis but also Hip Dysplasia for which he had major surgery to correct in 2011. This resulted in him at the age of 10 being confined to a wheelchair for 3 months. He took everything life threw at him on the chin with a smile and a big dose of determination that he wouldn't let it stop him.

He is a big inspiration to us and to everyone he meets and especially his 3 younger brothers.
