Hi everyone!
We are two Brazilians Curlers living in Vancouver Canada and we are the Team Shibuya Alves.
Anne Shibuya is a professional Curling athlete for Brazil. She is the current Brazilian Mixed Doubles champion and competed in the last World Mixed Doubles Championship in Lethbridge/AB.
Claudio Alves is a professional Curling athlete for Brazil, integrated the team that finished in second place for the mix team league at Royal City Curling Club.
It might not be known to you but Brazil has a good number of curling athletes. Enough to make an official Brazilian Mixed Doubles Championship, which decides the team that will represent our country in the following World Mixed Double Curling Championship.
The last two Brazilian Mixed Doubles Championships happened in Vancouver/BC, but this year it will be held in Toronto/ON at the Royal Canadian Curling Club. This change caught us off guard and raised the expected costs we had for this season.
The championship will happen on November 15 to 18 2017 and we need to raise $3000 to help us with the trip to Toronto, accommodation, matching uniforms in two different models (as per World Curling Federation regulation) and some basic equipment (also following WCF's regulation). We need to make this happen before October 12th, so we have time to make the uniforms and purchase the flight tickets.
