Send 1,000 Books to Malawi For A Library
Donation protected
Heritage Students Ian Cohen, Aubrey Wight, and Sage Trapp want to introduce Brentwood into the literary world and help bring joy and education all over the globe.
Upon researching ways to connect Brentwood with the world, we came across the African Library Project, a 501c(3) that connects American communities to African communities via books.
For every 1,000 books equals one new library in an English-speaking African country, which in our case will be Malawi, a country with a GDP per capita of less than $2,000 annually.
Funds raised will support our goal in numerous ways including paying for USPS shipping to the warehouse in Louisana, international sea shipping, and any leftover funds will be used to purchase extra books from the Brentwood Library Book Shop to be added with donations.
