Memorial Fund for Ezekiel Son of Semaema Cornford

On Wednesday the 10th of August 2022 Semaema Grace Cornford passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 36. Semaema suffered a long battle with lupus and kidney disease.

Semaema was a talented singer who appeared on Australia's X-Factor in 2011 and advanced beyond the initial auditions. In 2018 Semaema gave birth to a son, Ezekiel John Cornford. She set aside her career and ambitions and raised her son on her own.

Semaema spent three days a week in hospital on dialysis and juggled her struggle with lupus and kidney disease and raising her son. Semaema succumb to her disease and now leaves behind a three-year-old Ezekiel who will be raised by her extended family.

Funding Purpose

The purpose of this fundraiser is to fund a financial trust that has been established with Ezekiel as the sole beneficiary.

The trust will be administered by close friends of Semaema's and the organizers of this fundraiser who are listed as trustees.

The trust will mature when Ezekiel reaches the age of 18 with the discretion to draw on the trust for any expenses he requires while growing up.
