A very warm welcome to you, I'm Danielle.

I have been writing stories and illustrating them since I was five years old. One of my most cherished items is a self-made book about three friends who were all princesses. Only one copy of that book exists.

Since then, I have studied creative writing (and editing) and read widely, working years to earn my literature degree in 2016, I worked in a bookshop surrounded by others' words and life-works in 2023, and at signings and writer's festivals I have met well-loved authors we all admire. Words that express honest stories, from character dialogue, poems, song lyrics and affirmations to memoirs and ancient philosophy, fill my bookshelf and remind me what it means to be alive, thinking and feeling.

In 2020 I started curating some poems I wrote. On 4th August 2024, I celebrated the 15 year milestone of my writing blog. In September 2024, I finished writing my first book.

All of the funds that are raised will be used to self-publish the book of 85 of all my original poetry that I have been writing for the past five years. It will be titled Echoes and awakenings. The cost includes:

- registering an ISBN

- printing copies

- website design and maintenance

Words are incredibly powerful and books have taught me so much, comforted me, connected me with wonderful, wise humans I have never met. I have discovered my purpose is to share my own experiences and lessons in a creative way to inspire, comfort and connect with others, beyond my final heartbeat.
