<div>We’ve got a local friend, the self-less kind, who is there for people in her life in a heartbeat…whether it be a supportive phone call, last second childcare, dog sitting, or joining you for a walk and a laugh or just dancing for no reason. She’s always there.

<div>This same selflessness has her caring for a disabled parent, out of state, during a pandemic. All while hustling hourly to make ends meet for herself after losing a full-time job. She recently had to leave town for 3 months to assist her mother and navigate

<div>the Medicare &amp; Medicaid system in a small town, advocating for support, which was a major burden in itself, not to mention her employment. Her advocacy is not yet over, and she continues to manage this care even from home, now back in Miami.
