Selfless dad needs heart surgery

Like all fathers, John has always put his kids and families needs/ wants first. Not only his family, but he has also been willing to help anyone in need. 

Recently, he has been ill, but still knew that his family was number one. After much debate about going to the doctor, John finally decided he needed to go, and take care of whatever illness he had so he could continue to be there for his family.

After almost a week in the hospital, John has found out he had an infection that has caused damage to his heart, kidneys, and other internal organs. Now that the doctors have found the answer to the infection, John will have to undergo open heart surgery, as well as many other medical procedures to get his health back to where it was. 

Once all of this is completed, John will have a long road to recovery, where he will not be able to work. Also, he will have multiple check ups to make sure his heart surgery has gone well.
