Sefton Park Rangers - Liverpool > Amsterdam Virtual Run.
Sefton Park Rangers, the new wave community football club based in Liverpool are running the distance between Liverpool and Amsterdam (715k) on Saturday 27th of Feb in aid of the Florrie - a community centre in L8.
All 35 members of the squad and club officials will be running a half marathon in order to complete the distance keeping connected virtually via strava, a running app .
The club is just as committed to community projects as it is to getting points at the weekend and in previous fundraiser projects raised funds for The Greenhouse Project hosting ‘The SPR Community Cup and has fundraised for Local NHS and Men's mental health charities.
The Florrie has provided local vulnerable residents with support and been used as a food bank throughout the pandemic along with recently announcing free counseling sessions for L8 residents in partnership with our friends at the Mind Map.
The Club will be releasing T-shirts in collaboration with local design studio Kula with all profits going to the Florrie Fund.
