Help HCH Fdn. Obtain 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status

Donation protected

When I first had the idea to start Henry’s Caring Heart Foundation, I intended to honor my late fur-son, Henry, a loving and gentle soul who brought joy to many during his lifetime. I wanted Henry’s spirit of unconditional love, giving, and selflessness to live on, and, to that end, I committed myself to establishing a nonprofit organization that would administer small financial aid grants, of up to $500, to needy families who were struggling with their pet-related costs.

You see, Henry was more than a dog; he was my soul pet and best canine friend; and he brought amazing joy to my life and to my family members. Henry taught me the true meaning of unconditional love, and I wanted other individuals to experience that same joy.

Through Henry’s Caring Heart Foundation, I believed that my foundation could help loving pets find and keep their forever homes. My vision was to assist underemployed and unemployed families so that they would never have to give up their pets due to unfortunate financial situations. Instead, they could get the help that they needed to cover pet-related costs. I envisioned that individuals could receive grants for:

·      routine and emergency vet costs;
·      pet supplies (pet food, heartworm and flea preventatives, etc.);
·      pet-boarding fees, when the owner is sick or in the hospital;
·      and even partially cover shelter adoption costs, for individuals who wanted to adopt a pet but were unable to afford the full adoption fee.

I have spent the past year learning everything I can about nonprofit organization structuring, have written loads of content (including several short reports to help families in need), and have spent my family’s own limited funds to fuel my mission and to bring my nonprofit idea into fruition. Although my heart is big, my bank account has gotten very low and I now need a bit of financial help to incorporate.

The foundation now has a corporate logo, website, competitive market analysis, and some promotional materials (brochures, business cards, videos, and flyers). However, we still need $1,500 to cover our incorporation and 501(c)(3) nonprofit filing fees to lawfully operate in each of the states of IL, IN, and WI. These corporate filing fees will enable us to properly classify ourselves as an IRS-recognized nonprofit which will give us tax-exempt status and enable any donations we receive to be tax-exempt. Additionally, this status will enable us to apply for grants from organizations so that we can assist even more pet owners.

Today I am asking for your help to support my mission to assist families and their beloved pets who desperately need financial aid. By making a generous donation, you can help raise the additional funds needed to launch my nonprofit successfully in the IN, IL, and WI areas.

At this time, our reach only extends to IN, IL, and WI, but I have high hopes to include more and more states as the HCH Foundation grows. Also note that donations are not tax-deductible at present because the foundation has not yet been granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, but, with your help, we can formally apply for this status.

Any donations will go to our nonprofit filing fees of $1,500. We will be fully transparent as to how these funds are used and will provide project updates as we go through the filing process.

If you aren’t able to donate, please spread the word about my mission because the more support that is given to the HCH Foundation, the more families and animals can be helped.

Thank you so much for your support!
