My name is Lonnisha Landry. My son, Xavier Landry, was born prematurely on April 18, 2008, weighing only 3 lbs. 13 oz. He entered this world fighting for his life, and he grew into a bright, loving, and resilient young man.
On July 12, 2024, at just 16 years old, my son was murdered in Auburn, Washington, on A Street. He was shot five times in the chest and twice in the back. Since his passing, my conversations with law enforcement have been limited. Most recently, the detective on my son’s case told me there are no funds available for advanced DNA testing on the shell casings that were left behind where my son was killed.
As a mother, I cannot accept that my son’s life—and the lives of so many others taken by gun violence—should go without justice simply because of money. Xavier deserves better. Our community deserves better.
I am asking for your help. I am raising funds to pay for:
• Advanced DNA testing of the shell casings
• A private investigator to assist in solving my son’s murder
I am a single mother of three living children. I have already lost one child to gun violence, but I refuse to let Xavier’s story end here. He fought to live from the moment he was born, and I will keep fighting for him until justice is served.
If you are able, please help. No donation is too small, and every share, every prayer, and every act of support means the world to me. Together, we can bring justice for Xavier and for other families like mine.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
— Lonnisha Landry, Xavier’s Mom
