SEEING is Believing CHILDREN’S Holiday Party
You don’t know what you are missing until you get a pair of glasses. Many children are not aware of how compromised their sight is and their joy in wearing glasses for the first time is palpable.

In today’s world, kids hardly get to be kids, especially kids in a tiny village in Ghana called Ellembelle. We have been organizing a party for all the kids for the last 3 years and we want to continue this tradition in 2019, but we will need your help !
This year we are hosting a holiday party with eye screening, coupled with distribution of eye glasses and a BOOK. We constantly strive to provide new experiences for children that are not otherwise available to many of these children and women in the communities in Ghana and this year we want to help them see.
Seeing is Believing specially when reading a book
This holiday event is an opportunity to bring together all the ethnic groups into one peaceful community. The event enables us to focus on the needs whilst we celebrate the children.
Taking advantage of the celebration, we will screen and hand out glasses and books. Some of these kids will never get to experience the gift of sight as we know it and thus will not be able to read properly. Not seeing well in a village like Ellembele is not a priority as we don’t have the tools to offset poor eyesight.
Some of these kids have to work for their parents, or whoever their caregivers are. Some of these kids are orphans. We are choosing to uplift their spirits and enabling them to SEE better because The Strength of a People is The Power of their Community.
The event attracts more than 5000 children. We are looking to raise $15000 in order to further our cause of giving children an eye exam, glasses, a book and a meal.
