Barnes Family

I have decided to start this account for the Barnes Family. For those of you that don't know, Kevin took his life on Friday 9/7. Kevin leaves behind an amazing wife Bridgett and two wonderful kids Owen and Olivia. If you have had the privilege of knowing this family, you know that Kevin and Bridgett would do anything for anyone. Their smiles were infectious and their love for one another was extraordinary. None of us will ever truly know the motivation behind this. Kevin was a very selfless person so I truly believe that he thought he was doing the best thing possible for his family.  As a friend I can't help but feel guilty for not reaching out enough. I am saddened that Kevin felt scared and alone with no way out. Unfortunately, we cannot go back in time to Friday morning and guide Kevin through this. What we can do is vow to be better friends going forward. We can support Bridgett, Owen and Olivia in any way possible. We can reach out to one another and have meaningful conversation instead of a casual greeting. Certainly money is not the answer and does not provide the healing that Bridgett and the kids need. They have so many questions that none of us can answer. However, in this time the last thing that Bridgett needs to concern herself with is finances. I have no idea where to set a goal amount. It is my wish that whatever number I pick we sail right past it. I know this site is financially driven, but we also need to be there to support as needed. Please support this wonderful family in any way you can.
