Securing Penelope's second chance

Penelope is a survivor, protector, and beloved companion. She has become the light of her owner's life since she was adopted a year ago. Penelope was a former breeder dog who has endured immense trauma. Over the past year Penelope has become acclimated to pet life enjoying treats and plenty of belly rubs. Unfortunately after countless litters and not being fixed prior to adoption she has developed what's called pyrometra; an infection of the uterus.
