Secure Storage for Islais Creek

When we first started in 2014, we kept our equipment inside a gutted porta-potty. This served us well until we started getting more boats. We needed more space and decided upon a Home Depot shed. This shed was more spacious, but was not the most secure.
In December of 2015, equipment, leashes, repair tools, OC paddles, and DB paddles were stolen. We replenished the lost items and made sure to have a lock on the shed at all times, reiterating to our members the importance of double checking.
A month ago in July of 2018, we found that our locks were cut and once again, someone had stolen our equipment again. At this point, we would like to fund raise money to purchase a more secure storage option.
We would like to purchase an 10'x8' shipping container to store our equipment on site. Please help us by donating and sharing with your friends.
ICDBTC has served many paddlers in the Bay Area. When we started in 2014, we had a total of 30 paddlers come through our organization. By 2017, we had over 160 paddlers come through us. We don't expect this number to slow down, especially if we can get more secure storage here to service our members. Thank you!
Islais Creek Dragonboat Training Centre formed by visionary Yohei R. and Sue B., based on the idea of enabling youth paddlers (high school to recently graduated college students) the opportunities and resources to safely develop themselves as paddlers. Active mentorship by our experienced leadership is employed to mature youth paddlers into the next generation of forward thinking leaders in the Bay Area dragon boat community.
We are extremely thankful to the Port of San Francisco as well as Kayaks Unlimited for allowing us to co-inhabit the cage space by Islais Creek. They have been super supportive of our efforts!
