Secure Housing for Carissa and Her Boys

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read this on behalf of my little family and me.

My name is Carissa, and I am a mama of two boys; they are my whole world! Times are very hard right now, and I'm reaching out to friends and family and whoever could possibly help us, as much as I despise asking for help. We received a 3-day eviction notice, and I am trying to keep our housing secured at least until I can find something more affordable.

I have recently had to deal with some scary medical issues that, if I didn't get help right away, there was the possibility of things going very wrong. I was in the hospital for 6 days and finally got on the right medications. It has taken a toll on my employment, and with 100% of everything on my plate financially, I have to find emergency assistance. In the county I live, there are no resources. I have researched & reached out to dozens of potential assistance programs, but they are no longer available, or they are out of funding. I am dropping my pride and reaching out to anyone that can contribute any amount that is possible for you to help me and my family.
I have been cleaning houses, doing any side work I can find, and delivery driving while trying to secure employment that works with daycare and school hours. It has been extremely difficult to find anything that works for a mom living with no one around to help watch my children if daycare isn't open and school isn't in session.

I have been prepping to pack up our things and have been donating stuff to groups on facebook to people in my community. Stuff that is just taking up space in this home, or just no longer needed, to simplify. And it’s my way of giving back right now, because it’s really the only way that I am able to do so.
I am preparing now so i’m ready to pack and load up everything if we get into more affordable housing in December.
Yes, the feeling of the unknown is uncomfortable. But, as I go through all the “things” I’ve acquired throughout the last 5 years I had a pivotal moment noticing all the things pile up in give away boxes… No material items, place, or house could make me feel the gratitude, comfort and contentment I that I feel with getting to share all the moments with my sons, and getting to teach so many important lessons through it all. Helping them establish integrity and character that is so deep rooted within them they will be passionate about loving thy neighbor, and having empathy for people. I will always make sure they are safe, happy and healthy. And also, to never lose the kindness they were created with that is so prominent in their hearts.

Someday I will be able to pay it forward, and it will be one of the first things I will do when I am in the position to do so.

So much love,
Carissa, Titus and Beauden.
