Help out a low-income family with a special needs child.

David and Chet Clover (and their daughter Wallee) were informed recently that the house they have been living in for the last 9 years will be sold imminently. They had been mentally preparing for an eventual move, though will now need to move much more urgently than previously anticipated. Rising prices in their Detroit neighborhood have made it so they can no longer live in the place they’ve called home for the last 9 years. Rental costs have skyrocketed; similar places in the neighborhood are now out of price range, and they will need to relocate within the next 1-2 months. Help is needed!

Both David and Chet have physical disabilities that prevent powering through a move and will need to hire help. Given that they recently had to urgently replace their vehicle, they have depleted the small safety net that they were able to accrue.

All funds raised will go to:

1. Moving costs: Renting a truck, packing materials, and transport.

2. Down payment and/or security deposit and first month’s rent. The family will be pursuing mortgage options though will also be seeking a new rental if they do not qualify for a purchase.

3. Basic needs and utilities: Setting up the new home and ensuring the family's needs are met through the transition.

4. Support services: Costs associated with additional care or medical needs during this transition.
