<div>Atifa Ljajic is the oldest first-time mom in Serbia. After a 20-year long road to parenthood, she succeeded in getting pregnant and giving birth to a daughter - Alejna - in 2017. She was 61 years old. Atifa's husband left them soon after the birth and is sending a small amount of child support sporadically - around $70 per month. Atifa is raising their daughter alone, with love and dedication, but with meager financial means. They live in a rented apartment, on Atifa's retirement income and occasional charitable donations from strangers that read about their ordeal. <strong>Atifa's biggest wish is to provide stable housing to her daughter, through a purchase of a small apartment in their city of Novi Pazar.</strong> Private charitable donations have provided a good start, but she still needs around $10,000. <strong>Having their own apartment would mean the world to Atifa and Alejna, ensuring a stable childhood and providing security for Alejna's future.</strong>
