**SECRET** Brannon's B-Day Car Fund

Hi everyone!

If you are reading this, you know and love Brannon just as much as I do. You also are probably already aware of Brannon's current predicament as it relates to his old truck, but just to recap:

Earlier this year, Brannon enrolled in The Iron Yard, a fast-paced programming bootcamp.  Brannon's old truck that he has had as long as I have known him finally kicked the bucket around the same time Brannon started this program. Despite the setback, Brannon completed the course and is now a skilled web developer.

The nature of this industry is that entry-level developer jobs are somewhat hard to come by, and despite applying for probably 100 jobs, Brannon has not been able to find a developer job yet.  Brannon has been constantly applying for jobs, going to interviews, and working his part-time job to keep the bills paid - all without his own transportation. As you know, in a city like Nashville, that is quite the feat.

We have all helped Brannon through this time in one way or another, mostly through helping him out with rides, calling him a Lyft, etc. but with Brannon's birthday coming up, I would love to take this a step further.

Buying a car in cash is a seemingly insurmountable task when working a part-time job for a less than desirable wage, however with all of us chipping in small amounts ($5, $10, $25 bucks etc) I think we can provide our friend with the means to purchase a reasonable running vehicle. 

I have set the goal at $2000 for a couple reasons;

 - One: I think we can do it.
 - Two: We aren't looking for anthing fancy here - just something that runs and is relatively reliable/stable enough to last Brannon until he secures a dev job.
 - Three: With registration, taxes, fees etc, even a $1500 car can creep up towards the $2K mark.


**A FEW THINGS**

Brannon would never do this for himself, and would probably be uncomfortable with the idea - so let's keep this private. Share privately with anyone that knows Brannon, or anyone that would like to give to help a good boy.

Brannon's birthday is Halloween, so we will keep this running until then/shortly thereafter depending on how it is going.




Brannon is one of my favorite people in this world and he really needs a break - needs something to go his way. Remember that every little bit helps and just try to imagine the dumb smile that will be on his face when we let him know what we have pulled together for him. And of course also remember that we won't have to give him rides anymore :)
