A Second Chance For Austin

Austin is a 10 year old mare from Osooyoos in desperate need of a new home. Her owner passed away a few weeks ago leaving her homeless. She is a gentle giant that loves children, is not a riding horse due to spinal injuries and does need extra love and care. The owner's daughter lives on Vancouver Island and cannot bring her there. She is currently staying at a neighbours property but we have until January 3rd to pick her up or she will be shipped off to an auction where she will most likely go for slaughter. Canada is one of the only countries in the world that still ships live horses for slaughter usually ending up in Japan. It is a sad and scary reality. In order to save her we need some funding. Funding for the trip to Osoyoos, for renting a large trailer, vet expenses and a monthly sponsor for her $100 which can be split between different sponsors . If we can pull it off, Austin will be the first horse on the Cici Life Farm Sanctuary. If you can find it in your hearts to give even a few dollars this Christmas for a good cause, this is the time to do it. I've always believed that Christmas is a magical time for giving and there is nothing more worthwhile that you can give than a second chance to a being in dire need!
