Sebastian's Keratoconus Surgery

Hi guys, I'm Sebastian.
I am a 3D artist who works with an awesome group of talented and driven individuals in the city of Cincinnati. I also like to shoot photography and develop virtual worlds inside my computer. All of these crafts need the use of my vision, and since I was a young kid my eyes haven't collaborated very well.
I didn't think I'd find myself trying to reach a goal on here, specially since I see so many people in need and in such dire circumstances. But I had a consult with a cornea specialist, and after many hours of running tests on my eyes it was confirmed that I have a (somewhat) rare condition called keratoconus.
Keratoconus is a condition in which the cornea becomes thin and stretched near its center, causing it to bulge forward into a conical shape. As a result, vision becomes very distorted. If not treated soon, this could lead to further vision impairment and eventually could lead to the need of a corneal transplant. I would much rather stop this before it gets to that point and for this I need your help.
The goal stated above is what the surgery costs for both of my eyes. $1,500 per eye for crosslinking, which is the procedure that "freezes" my cornea in place to stop it from getting worse. The other $1,500 per eye is for the doctor to use a laser on my eyes that would help me "hopefully" recover some of the vision I have lost during the time that I have had this condition. This is not Lasik where I will see 20-20, but it should help me see things before I put on my contacts or glasses, which is not the case now.
I am asking for your help on here because of the urgency that comes with a condition that deteriorates over time - I need to treat this as soon as possible, which doesn't leave much room to save enough money to go through with it - especially since my insurance does not cover this procedure.
All of the funds from this campaign will go toward the surgery to help me save and preserve the tools of my trade, which will allow me to see better and keep bringing my visions to life for a long time to come. I will be forever grateful for any and all contributions.
