CYT: Developing Character...One Stage at a Time.
Help us get CYT Seattle off the ground & into the hearts of our Seattle community!
Our Mission: (Christian Youth Theater) CYT is dedicated to developing character in children and adults through training in the arts and by producing wholesome family entertainment, all of which reflect Judeo-Christian values.
Since its founding in 1981 in San Diego California, CYT has grown to be the largest youth theater in the nation. Currently, CYT thrives in 25 U.S. cities with over 40 different locations (check out our map here !). In 2015, these CYTs collectively gave 700 performances to over 220,000 patrons, and served over 20,000 students. We teach awesome weekly classes, stage three fantastic musicals per year, and rock crazy-fun summer camps.
The artistic benefit to our kids is reason alone to bring CYT to Seattle. But, there's a deeper reason we'd like you to help us bring this company to our community.
Not only do we teach kids to act, sing, dance, tech, improv, & design for theatre, we also teach them compassion, kindness, & integrity. We applaud a service-minded attitude as well as amazing talent. We treat all people with love and respect and regularly work to give back to our community through service projects, complimentary tickets, scholarships, and outreach.
We strive to create an ideal experience so that life changing stories can take place. We know that every kid deserves a safe place to embrace their personal power and develop character...one stage at a time!

We want Seattle to be the next place CYT takes the stage!
The funds generated by this campaign will be used to pay for the start up cost associated with getting CYT Seattle on its feet. This includes, but is not limited to: affiliate fees, legal fees, insurance, production costs, venue rental & facility fees, promotional costs, and all that jazz. CYT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization (and all donations are tax deductible). CYT is not affiliated with a church body, and people of all faiths are welcome.
We thank you so much for enhancing the hearts and spirits of kids through theatre arts.
