<div>This May, the Seattle Rugby Club is heading to the USA Rugby National Championship in Lemont, Illinois after winning our regional championship in Las Vegas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re incredibly proud of what this group has accomplished. For many of our players, this is the highest level of competition they’ve ever reached—and an opportunity they’ve worked years to earn.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But getting there comes with a real cost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>We need to transport a traveling squad of 32 people—28 players, 2 coaches, and 2 medical staff—across the country.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>One-way flights alone: $10,000
</li>
<li>Additional costs: hotels, rental cars, meals, and tournament logistics
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Like many club-level teams, we are largely self-funded. Historically, players have covered significant portions of their own travel—including getting themselves home after the tournament.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our Goal</strong>
</div>
<div>We’re launching this fundraiser to cover essential travel costs and ensure we can get the full team to Nationals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we exceed our goal, every additional dollar will go directly toward:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Reducing the financial burden on players
</li>
<li>Helping subsidize return flights
</li>
<li>Covering lodging and transportation during the tournament
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will be fully transparent about how funds are used and will share updates along the way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why This Matters</strong>
</div>
<div>The Seattle Rugby Club isn’t just a team—it’s a community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For 60 years, the club has been a place where people find structure, accountability, and lifelong friendships. We often describe it as a “big kids’ version of a boys and girls club”—a brotherhood (and sisterhood) that helps people stay on track, push themselves, and show up for something bigger than themselves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate our 60th anniversary. Just weeks after Nationals, we’ll gather as a club for a formal anniversary event—an opportunity to reflect on our legacy and, hopefully, celebrate something even bigger.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Donate whatever you can—every contribution makes a difference
</li>
<li>Share this page with your network
</li>
<li>If you know a player, consider supporting their journey directly
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For our players, this is more than a trip—it’s a chance to represent our city, our club, and everything we’ve built together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for helping us take the field at Nationals.
</div>
