“Seattle’s Original Black Santa”
I was born and raised in South Seattle, and am blessed to be able to say “I made it out”. Growing up in the inner city has its pros and cons, but it was a beautiful struggle at the same time. I’ve always been determined to try and break the cycle, of the “High School to Prison Pipeline” in the inner city.
My company FB2T Photography was founded over 10 years ago , and we have been blessed to be one of the leading “sports youth & event” photographers in the community. We are celebrating our 10th Year Black Santa Claus anniversary!!! Our main objective when creating this event 10 years ago, was to give the kids from my neighborhood, a Santa they can identify with, and one who looks like them.
2020 has been a rough year for us all, and during this time of uncertainty, we want to bring the magical joy back for the holidays as if nothing has changed!!! The kids deserve a little holiday cheer and In dedication to our anniversary, we’ve decided to do something special this time, something COVID proof, and social distance friendly!
Our 10th year annual “Black Santa” event will be “drive-thru” style this year. We’ve reserved a spacious parking lot, and a large marquee style tent that will be fully decorated. We’ll be capturing a free, social distanced photo with Santa (behind a plexi glass to keep everyone safe), the photos will be instantly sent to guests via text or email, while still providing a full blown holiday experience! We’ll be giving out delicious milk & cookie packages to everyone, giving away free presents, and household care packages to all. We’ll have a live DJ and decorative lights throughout the parking lot, to provide the holiday ambiance, and more!
Being that our holiday event is completely complimentary to guests, we are seeking funding for the essential items to make this event come to life. Anything helps, and there is no donation to small. We just want to give back to our community, and keep the tradition of “Seattles Original Black Santa” alive! The children deserve some holiday cheer!
