Help make SEASIDEYOGA come to life!

It has always been our biggest dream to open a yoga studio. When we were presented with the opportunity to take over the already existing beautiful studio space on Aquidneck Island we knew we could not pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity to turn our dreams into a reality. While the planning and execution of this project would typically take years to establish....we now have less than one month to bring this plan to life!

Our world is shifting drastically and people are in need of tools, resources, teachers and a safe space to gather in. Our mission in creating this studio is not just to create a space for people to go do yoga, but to create a space for people to experience yoga and to revel in the benefits and gifts of this profound practice.

The word yoga means “to yoke” or “unite." The entire basis of yoga is to unite the body with the mind; creating a powerful relationship of love, understanding, and acceptance within and around ones life. While this mind body connection can be created anywhere, one of the (many) benefits of practicing yoga in a studio is not only the relationship the practitioner creates within oneself, but the relationship they create within in a community. The studio space in Clocktower square already has a beautiful community that has been established and we do not want to see it dissolve. By establishing Seaside Yoga we aim to take this already existing community and not only nurture it but take it to the next level so that it may flourish, grow, and expand.

Our intention is for every person who walks in and walks out of this space to gain something; to honor each individual and their personal journey by providing something for everyone. To leave feeling relaxed, empowered, at peace, motivated, and moved in some way shape or form.

We are asking for financial assistance in order to fund the props used in the studio; i.e.: mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and yoga-centric boutique items. The funds will also cover energy efficient heaters for the space, as well as all interior modifications; i.e paint, light fixtures, clothing racks and tables etc.

Our goal is to open Seaside Yoga within the first few weeks of September, 2017. We need to gain as much momentum as possible within these next few weeks to make this happen! With your generosity and support we KNOW we can achieve this!

With the support and assistance from each and every one of you we know we can deliver this incredible space in all its magnificence.

A little info about your Yogi's:
Emily earned her RYT-200 in the summer of 2016 under the graceful and awe-inspiring leadership of her mentor, Lori Pagliaroni, and Patti Doyle. Believing in the understanding that “practice makes progress”. Emily offers a space that allows students to come up against a growing edge- appreciating, being grateful for what is, and being patient and welcoming of what is to come. Since receiving her BA in psychology and subsequent MA in Applied Behavior Analysis from Salve Regina University in the summer of 2016, Emily works to integrate breathe, movement, and the understanding of human nature to cultivate a higher sense of bliss and understanding.

Jessica began practicing yoga in 2007 and it has been a profound  and transformative journey ever since. She received her RYT-200 certification in Bali, Indonesia May of 2015 through Frog Lotus Yoga International under master yogi Vidya Heiel. She also completed a training module in Kundalini Yoga during the fall of 2016. She believes that all facets of yoga including breath, asanas, chanting, meditation and inward focus help to unite the body, mind, and soul and guide the individual towards developing a pure sense of self. She also received her degree in both Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Spanish Language at Salve Regina University in 2011. After this she went on to study through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition out of NYC and became a board certified holistic health practitioner. Her love for teaching, working with people on their individual journeys, and seeing others grow and transform has lead her to where she is today as a teacher and yoga studio owner.
